Tuition and Dates
At Matai, we offer a range of filmmaking and media courses designed to suit various schedules and budgets. Our tuition fees reflect the value of hands-on training, access to industry-standard equipment, and expert mentorship from experienced professionals. We believe in making quality education accessible, with flexible payment plans and options for financial assistance.
Course Dates
We run multiple sessions throughout the year for both short-term and comprehensive programs. Below are the upcoming start dates for each course:
- 1-Week Workshops: Start monthly on the first Monday of each month.
- 4-6 Week Short Term Courses: Available four times a year (January, April, July, October).
- 6-Month Comprehensive Program: Starts in January and July each year.
Application deadlines are one month prior to the start date. Early applications are encouraged due to limited availability.

One Week Filmmaking Workshop
This hands-on workshop covers the essentials of scriptwriting, cinematography, directing, and editing. Perfect for beginners, you’ll work in teams to create a short film from start to finish, gaining practical skills and insight into the filmmaking process.

This course delves into camera operation, lighting techniques, shot composition, and framing. Perfect for aspiring cinematographers, you’ll learn how to craft compelling visuals, work with professional equipment, and bring creative visions to life on screen.

Television Production Course
This course offers comprehensive training in screen presentation, focusing on TV journalism and screenwriting. Students learn both single-camera and multi-camera production techniques, gaining hands-on experience in front of and behind the camera. They plan and produce news and current affairs features, while also receiving guidance on creating fictional programs under the mentorship of experienced faculty.
